myLedger — Personal Work & Execution Management
A personal execution system that keeps long-running commitments connected to actions, time and reflection.
A to-do list is good at answering what needs to happen today. It is less good at explaining why a task exists, how it connects to a longer-term commitment, or what changes when a plan extends across weeks and months. As schedules shift, important work can fragment into reminders with no clear connection to the original goal.
myLedger explores a more connected model. Long-running affairs lead to actions; actions meet schedules; and reviews help relate the work back to what the person intended to achieve. The objective is to keep the thread between direction and daily execution visible.
Recurring work makes the domain especially interesting. A rule may define something that should happen every week, but one occurrence might be moved, canceled or handled differently. Treating the recurring rule and its individual instances separately helps preserve the meaning of both when plans change.
The application is built around those relationships, covering commitments, actions, planning, reminders and review. Its React interface, Fastify services and PostgreSQL persistence are organized around a domain model rather than a collection of disconnected screens. Automated and browser-based checks support the behavior of that model.
The product speaks to a common problem in personal software: information is easy to capture but difficult to keep connected. A useful execution system should let people return to a long-running commitment and understand the next meaningful action without reconstructing the plan from scattered notes.
The same design discipline matters in business applications. When relationships between concepts are clear, a system has a stronger foundation for handling real-world exceptions and change.
